You Are Not Currently Using A Display Attached To An Nvidia Gpu Docking Station
I have a vga monitor hooked up to the left side external vga port on this laptop.
You are not currently using a display attached to an nvidia gpu docking station. If you open up nvidia control panel right click the desktop you can select which apps use the nvidia gpu which use the intel gpu. Nvidia display settings are not available. The two external monitors work but through the onboard graphics and cannot run software such as sketchup unless we can utilize the nvidia graphics opengl. Not only do i have to define each application i want to use with my high performance gpu however whatever way the d6000 and windows are talking to each other nvidia s control panel informs me that it cannot open because i don t have a display connected with an nvidia gpu.
The nvidia gpu physically needs to be connected to the video output. They re wired to the intel gpu. This works in most cases where the issue is originated due to a system corruption. This is the setup used by the vast majority of laptops that have both intel and discrete gpus.
You can even set the default to using the nvidia gpu. That said nvidia optimus works well most of the time. If the issue is with your computer or a laptop you should try using restoro which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files. Well first of all the message that the display isn t attached to the nvidia gpu is accurate.
The display outputs in that system aren t wired directly to the nvidia gpu. This is on laptops running windows 10 connected to the plugable docks. You are not currently using a display attached to an nvidia gpu. Thank you in advance.
When i follow start control panel nvidia control panel the nvidia control panel window appears saying. I don t have anything hooked up to the hdmi. We cannot get the nvidia graphics card to work once we close the lid on the laptop.
